CFCs are chemically quite stable because they contain chlorine (Cl).


They are fully halogenated hydrocarbons that only consist chlorine, flourine and hydrogen.


They are normally produced as a volatile derivative of propane, ethane and methane.


They are simpler alkanes, less volatile than their parent alkines and far less flammable.


Their density is however, quite higher when compare to other alkanes.
