CHALK - Usually sedimentary  rocks are hard and compact but chalk is a type of sedimentary rock though it is soft.

IRON NAIL - Iron nail is made up of iron which is a metal and gets rusted if kept in open air.

WOOD - Wood is a non - metal. It is a bad conductor of heat and electricity.

Also, it has a dull lustre , i.e, it does not shines nor reflects light.

ALUMINIUM - Aluminium is also a metal. It is a good conductor of heat and electricity. It is malleable, ductile, sonorus, etc.

CANDLE - Candle is made up of wax. It is soft. It is melted when heated and can be re - made if cooled. Burning of candle is a reversible change.

COTTON - Cotton are fibres which are soft and absorbent. They are used for many purposes such as to provide medication or to make cotton clothes which are extremely comfortable in summer.
