To find acceleration and tension

on a string.

According to the question,

From Newton second law of motion.

=> F = MA

where M = sum of all blocks.

=> M = 4 + 6 + 8 = 18

=> 36 = 18a

=> a = 2 m/s²

Tension in a string.

=> 36 - T¹ = 4a

=> 36 - T¹ = 8

=> T¹ = 28N

Therefore,

Acceleration = 2 m/s²

Tension = 28N
