Let's consider total no. of parrots=x,

Then,

No. Of parrots left=[100-(20+5)]/100*x=0.75x.

Now,given that:

(100-45)/100*0.75x=33

=>0.4125x=33

=>x=80=total no. Of parrots.

Answer:

Chandani purchased a total of 110 parrots.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

The percentage of parrot flew were 20%

The percentage of parrot died were 5%

The rest that were sold were 45%

Total number of parrots were x

The remaining parrots after parrots flew, died and sold were 33

Total % of parrot apart from remaining were 20%+5%+45% = 70%

Hence, the remaining percentage of parrots is 30%

So if 30% is the remaining then 30% of x = 33

30/100×x=33

x=110

Hence, the total numbers of parrots were 110.
