Chapter 2 / Whole Numbers Multiplication is commutative for whole numbers (axb = bxa) Multiplication of Whole Numbers – 1) Prepare a 10 x5 grids on a white chart. 2) Colour the 3 grids of a first vertical row with red colour and adjacent 3 vertical grids with green colour. 3) Colour any three horizontal grids with red colour and the next three horizontal grids with green colour.



Observation:- In the first case, there are 3 horizontal coloured grids each containing 2 grids.
