In 'The Invisible Man' story Mr. Huxter is a person who lives in a tiny village known as Iping. He has a well defined job. He is a store owner. He knows everyone but he does not know the Invisible Man, who does not have a job.

Mr Huxter is a shop dealer. He was called along when the landlord's wife was thrown out violently. He did not believed in invisible man before, but later when he was catching Marvel for stealing books of formulae, he was tripped by the invisible man
