Natalya was a 25 year old unmarried girl. She was very stubborn and argumentative . Even after knowing that Lomov was there to propose her she started a argument on dogs. This shows us that she is foolish also and does not know what to say and how to behave in any such situation. She is wealthy and an opportunist as Lomov had come to propose her. She was quarrelsome as she used to start argumenting at anything that she did not like. She was also a high headed and manipulative girl as she never thought that she was wrong . In the play we also get to know that she is short tempered as she starts shouting and arguing when she starts an argument with someone.Even after all this she is also a wonderful housewife. We get to know this when Lomov talks about her to her father.(book-first flight , pg.no.-145 , last dialouge of Lomov )
