AnswEr:-

Given:- AP is 11, 8, 5 ,2.......

We need to check whether -150 is a term of AP

let us assume that it is nth term if AP

So, an = -150

Also, First term (a) = 11

Common difference (d) = a2 - a1 = 8 - 11 => -3

Now by using the Formula

=> an = a+(n -1)d

Putting Values:-

=> -150 = 11 +(n -1)(-3)

=> -150 = 11 +n (-3) -1 × (-3)

=> -150 = 11 - 3n + 3

=> -150 = 14 - 3n

=> -150 -14 = 3n

=> -164 =-3n

=> -164/-3 = n

=> 164 /3 = n

=> n = 54.32

hence n is coming in decimal

So, -150 is not term of AP

Answer:

NO IT IS NOT PART OF AP

Step-by-step explanation:

a+(n-1)d=-150

8+(n-1)-3=-150

-3n+3=-142

-3n=-139

n=139/3

N IS NOT A NATURAL NUMBER.

THAREFORE IT IS NOT PART OF AP.
