The chemical reaction is:
C2H5OH+O2+KMnO4+K2Cr2O7------>CH3COOH+H2O
.here,
C2H5OH is ehtanol .
It goes reaction with the O2 (oxidation reaction).
In the presence of 2 catalyst-
KMnO4 and K2Cr2O7
to form:
CH3COOH:- ethanoic acid and water respectively.

Ch3-ch2oh -(in presence of alkaline kmno4 or acidified k2cr207 as a catalyst with heat ) gives ch3cooh
Alkaline potassium permanganate or acidified potassium dichromate are oxidising the alcohol ( that is ethanol) to acid ( that is ethanoic acid ) since the ethanol is converted to ethanoic acid in the presence of catalyst and heat
