=> The Civil Disobedience Movement was one of the most significant movements launched by Mahatma Gandhi in the course of India's freedom struggle. By 1930, the Congress Party had declared that Poorna Swarajya or complete independence was to be the sole aim of the freedom struggle.

The main features are:-

1)- Boycott of foreign made cloth and liquor shops.

2)- Refusal by peasants to pay revenue and chaukidari taxes.

3)- Violation of forest law by grazing animals in the reseved forest.

4)- Deliberalety breaking unjust law like salt tax law.

Limitations of the Civil Disobedience Movement:-

1)- For a long time, The Congress had ignored the Dalits. This was so because they were afraid of offending the Santanis. [High Caste Conservative Hindu's.]

2)- Because of this ignorance, Dalit leaders began organizing themselves.
