Hey mate,

We classify plants into several groups that have similar & distinguishing characteristics.

Types of plants :-

Non-vascular Plants

Nonvascular plants lack vascular tissues that can help them transport water and nutrients.

Bryophytes

The Phylum Bryophyta, are the most diverse group. They have more than 10,000 of species.
Among all plant phyla, the members of the Phylum Bryophyta are considered as the simplest.

Vascular Plants

The classification of plants is also known as the tracheophytes.
Vascular plants have been allowed by evolution to possess vascular tissues (Xylem and Phloem)

Pteridophytes

The next phylum is Phylum Pteridophyta which is composed of almost 12,000 species.

Gymnosperms

Gymnosperms, as compared with other plant phyla, include the tallest, the thickest, and the oldest living plants.

Angiosperms

Angiosperms, also referred to as the flowering plants, are the most diverse plant phylum with at least 260,000 living plant species.

hope this helps you out!
