in 1998=425000
find 2000=?
=425000+2×4% of 425000
=425000+8×425000/100
=425000+34000
=459000

Annual increase of its population=4%
4% of 425000
=17000
If every year 17000 population increases then in two years population increase will be=17000*2
=34000
Therefore in the year 2000 population will be=425000+34000
=459000
