so,

T1/T2 = root of l1 divided by root of l2

=root of 1/9

=1/3

T2 = 3 (T1)

, and T2 be the time period for 1mm pendulum ,

then

T1 = 2π√(9/g)

= 2π×3√(1/g) .......(1)

T2 = 2π√(1/g) ......(2)

Solving (1) and (2)

You will get

T1 = 3T2
