This is basically a detective story written by G K Chesterton.
We come to know about Father Brown as a prominent character only when we reach the ending portion of this text.
He is the main character as he unrevealed the issues at last.
However the story seemed to move around a character named John Turnbull Angus.
There were other characters too like that of Flambeau.
It was found that welkin was actually a postman. The readers love to read this detective text.
The conclusion of the story ‘The Invisible Man’
‘The Invisible Man’ is a short story by GK Chesterton. It is a murder mystery. The heroine Laura is passionately craved for by many men. One of her suitors, named Welkins, has mysteriously disappeared but he seems to haunt her in a very invisible manner. Her rich suitor Isidore is all set to marry her. But he keeps receiving death threats via mail.
At the end of the story we find Isidore brutally murdered in his room in spite of tight security. All through the story the readers are puzzled by its title. There is no sign of an invisible man. At the end when Isidore is murdered the title is justified. Welkins is the murderer. He had slipped into Isidore’s room totally unnoticed as if he was invisible. This was because he had disguised himself as the post man. The otherwise alert security guards had failed to see through his disguise. Thus like an invisible man he killed Isidore.
