1) when tubal gives him bad news such as Jessica's extravagance it stab into shylock's heart

but on the other hand when tubal gives him a good news such as Antonio's loose comes to him

as healing remedy , so this rise and fall in shylock's emotions imparts a rare dramatic intensity to

the scene.

2) Shylock is portrayed as blood thristy, very rude , arrogant as he was only worried for his money not for

his daughter but on other hand when he knew about the engagement ring that his daughter sold it for a monkey

he was felling very low and tortured.
