x-4y=13

multiplying by 3 9x-12y=39....................(1)

2x+3y=3

multiplying by 4 8x+12y=12....................(2)

adding 1 and 2

17x=51

so x=51/17 =>3

substituting in 3x-4y=13 and solving -4y=4 and so y=-1
