Alveoli in the lungs are for the extraction purpose . Haemoglobin is present there which helps to absorb oxygen . Nephrons are more for the purpose of purification . They separate the wastes . When blood pass through the nephron the waste material gets separated and some of the vitamins and minerals may be separated as well but the separated vitamins and minerals are given back to the blood .
