As soon as the babies could walk they were not looked after by their mothers.
Older children have to look after their siblings.

Girls are told to be caring, be helping hand to their mothers, look after the house whereas this kind of work is generally not accepted from boys. This is what is ingrained in children which makes such a discrimination between boys and girls where boys are preferred to work and dominate public domain wheres girls are preferred to get married and look after their homes
