In a forest far, far away, there lived a huge group of birds of every variety, size, and shape.
One particular year was very hot and dry, and the ponds and rivers in the forest dried up.
The birds were in famine and were suffering a lot.
So, the king bird suggested that they will migrate to a new forest in search of better pastures and all of them agreed.
When they started on their journey, a greedy sparrow came across a number of carts filled with numerous baskets brimming with grains.
She scared her friends away by telling them not to eat from the baskets as the owner might catch and kill them.
Then, she dashed away on her own to enjoy her meal.
Unfortunately, she was caught by the owner as he had spread a net over the grains and she got stuck in it.
As a reflection to her selfish act, none of her friends were near her and all of her cries for help went in vain.
