1. In the reaction between zinc sulphate and copper, no products will be formed as the reaction is not possible. Zinc is more reactive than copper and hence copper will not be able to displace zinc from its salt solution.

.Copper sulphate on treatment with potassium iodide precipitates cuprous iodide (CuI), liberates iodine gas and also forms potassium sulphate.

.From these measurements it is concluded that magnesium is oxidized in the melt by oxygen atoms produced by the decomposition of sodium nitrate and that it is the exothermicity of this reaction which leads to ignition.

.The reaction between copper sulfate and iron is oxidation-reduction: iron is oxidized and copper is reduced: Fe + CuSO₄ = FeSO₄ + Cu; There are two processes: Cu²⁺ + 2e = Cu⁰ (reduction process, Cu²⁺ is the oxidizer);

.Reaction of Zinc with Iron ( ) sulphate: When Zinc reacts with Iron ( ) sulphate, it displaces iron from Iron ( ) sulphate and forms Zinc ( ) sulphate. A grey precipitate of iron is formed leaving behind a colourless solution of Zinc sulphate.
