 \huge \text{Question - }

The volume of a cube is 12.167 cm³ , find the length of its edge .

 \huge \text{Answer - }

Let -

  • volume of cube root be a³

then -

\dashrightarrow\sf \:  {a}^{3}  =  {12.167 }^{3}

and

\dashrightarrow\sf \:  {a}  =  2.3

as 2.3 × 2.3 × 2.3 = 12.167

Therefore,

\;\;\underline{\boxed{\tt{length \:  of  \: its \:  edge \;\;=\;\bf{\pink{2.3 \: cm}}}}}

 \huge \text{Question - }

the volume of the cube is ,17.576 cm³ . find the length of an edge of the cube .

 \huge \text{Answer - }

Let -

  • volume of cube root be a³

then -

\dashrightarrow\sf \:  {a}^{3}  =  {17.576 }^{3}

and

\dashrightarrow\sf \:  {a}  =  2.6

as 2.6 × 2.6 × 2.6 = 17.576

Therefore,

\;\;\underline{\boxed{\tt{length \:  of  \: its \:  edge \;\;=\;\bf{\red{2.6\: cm}}}}}

 \huge \text{Question - }

the volume of a cube is doubled the the volume of the cuboid with volume 6.912 cm³ . find the length of an edge of the cube .

 \huge \text{Answer - }

In the question it is given that the volume of a cube is double the volume of the cuboid

\sf\dashrightarrow \:  volume \:  of  \: a \:  cube   =  2  \times volume \:  of  \: cuboid

\sf\dashrightarrow \:  ( {edge}^{3}  )  =  2  \times 6.912

\sf\dashrightarrow \:  edge  =  \sqrt[3]{13.824}

\sf\dashrightarrow \:  edge  =   2.4 \: cm

\;\;\underline{\boxed{\tt{length \:  of  \: its \:  edge \;\;=\;\bf{\green{2.4 \: cm}}}}}

 \huge \text{Question - }

The volume of a cube is 1.331 cm³. find the length of its edge. If the length of edge is doubled, by how many times will the volume increase ?

 \huge \text{Answer - }

Let -

  • volume of cube root be a³

then -

\dashrightarrow\sf \:  {a}^{3}  =  {1.331 }^{3}

and

\dashrightarrow\sf \:  {a}  =  1.1

as 1.1 × 1.1 × 1.1= 1.331

Therefore,

\;\;\underline{\boxed{\tt{length \:  of  \: its \:  edge \;\;=\;\bf{\blue{1.1 \: cm}}}}}

Now it is said that if the length of the the edge is doubled

\dashrightarrow\sf \:    1.1 \times 2 = 2.2 cm

Increase in volume

 \dashrightarrow\sf \:   2.2 \times 2.2 \times 2.2 = {10.642 cm }^{3}

\;\;\underline{\boxed{\tt{Incease \: in \:  volume \;\;=\;\bf{\blue{ {10.642 \: cm ^{3} }}}}}}

Number of time it increases -

 \dashrightarrow\sf \:   \dfrac{10.642}{1.331}

\;\;\underline{\boxed{\tt{\bf{\blue{ {8 \: times }}}}}}

 \huge \text{Question - }

The volume of a cube is 0.125 cm³. find the length of its edge. if the length of edge is is increased 3 times (tripled) , by how many times will the volume increase ?

 \huge \text{Answer - }

Let -

  • volume of cube root be a³

then -

\dashrightarrow\sf \:  {a}^{3}  =  {0.125}^{3}

and

\dashrightarrow\sf \:  {a}  =  0.5

as 0.5 × 0.5 × 0.5= 0.125

Therefore,

\;\;\underline{\boxed{\tt{length \:  of  \: its \:  edge \;\;=\;\bf{\purple{0.5 \: cm}}}}}

Now it is said that if the length of the the edge is tripled

\dashrightarrow\sf \:    0.5 \times 3 = 1.5 cm

Increase in volume

 \dashrightarrow\sf \:   1.5 \times 1.5 \times 1.5  = {3.375 cm }^{3}

\;\;\underline{\boxed{\tt{Incease \: in \:  volume \;\;=\;\bf{\purple{ {3.375 \: cm ^{3} }}}}}}

Number of time it increases -

 \dashrightarrow\sf \:   \dfrac{3.375}{0.125}

\;\;\underline{\boxed{\tt{\bf{\purple{ {27\: times }}}}}}
