...was that of a tiny man, crippled woman, and three children - two boys and a girl. The children looked starved, so I asked them if they wanted to eat something. All three of them replied with great enthusiasm saying, so I went to make them some hot soup. I felt bad for them. They seemed like a nice bunch. The parents looked exhausted. I offered them the soup, but they refused. I was confused. I asked them why wouldn't they take the food, and the father replied saying "We are extremely grateful, but we will not be able to repay you. We are letting you feed the kids because we have no choice. I don't want them to starve." That touched me. I decided right then that I would do everything in my power to help them. The children soon finished the soup, and the father said that they should be on their way. I refused to let them go. I told them that there was an extra room in my house, and that they could stay there for the night. The mother looked relieved, but said nothing. The next morning I let them shower and fed them again. They soon left. But I didn't forget what I decided. The very next day I went around the city looking for shelters for the homeless, and finally found a good one. The next thing I did was look for the family. I ended up finding them on a deserted alley. I told them about the shelter, but the father was reluctant. I did manage to convince him, and got them to the shelter. Some documents were filled there and they were shown their living space. The children looked so happy! I will never forget that day. I still visit them sometimes, and every time they look happier and happier.
