Mayank was sitting on his study table. He had opened his books but he could not concentrate on his studies because something happened in the morning in his neighbourhood which greatly affected him. However hard he tried to concentrate, the picture of the old beggar kept coming back to his mind again and again. That morning as Avik was standing in front of the school entrance, waiting for the bus, he saw in the road in front of him, a few people belonging to an NGO approach shops and the public, requesting them to donate for the cause street children. Many people ignored them, some shooed them away, some turned around while others just walked away. As Mayank watched, he saw the beggar who hangs around in front of the school entrance, approach the team and give them a donation of a hundred rupees. Mayank still couldn’t get over the faces of the people from the NGO.
