It has provided thousands of help from calculation to communication to us yet its drawbacks are not ignoreable. Here we will discuss about this particular topic " Computer - A reward or a curse".
BODY - Earlier what was done by a group of men consuming a lot time is done within a few clicks of the keyboard. Thus official and governmental works has gathered momentum and efficiency.An example is a situation where a person had to write documents with pen. Firstly his / her handwriting may not be understandable. Secondly, writing speed matters. Again written documents are prone to damage. However with the introduction of computer handwriting is not a problem. Again copies of the same document may be made thereby kess prone to damage. Again there are auto correction options in terms of spelling. Thus there is more efficiency. Again it helps in communication. Earlier sending letters took a lot of time. But through email, and other social medias it is possible to communicate with people easily. Distant places are no more distant. Apart from it, compiter is useful in various fields like medicine, research, defence intelligence and also to store data for infinite period of time, transaction of files, etc. But we must keep in mind all that glitters is not gold and there is a positive and negative effect of everything. So drawing the same example as mentioned earlier we can say that computer has replaced men thereby creating unemployment - a great threat to densely populated countries like India and her neighbourhoods. Again a computer if damaged will result to immediate lose of data. Computer machines also produce non biodegradable waste creating pollution. Again various illegal operationas are carried out by compiters. But it must be kept in mind that problems like unemployment can be tackled by better administrational and governmental efforts and by adopting modern economical method. Such an example is China. Again damage of a computer is a rare case. And files can easily be shared to other computer machines to protest them from complete deleting. The e waste produced by compiter can be used in other purposes. Thus the ill effects of computer cannot keep up with the enormous advantages it provides.
CONCLUSION - Finally,it is a fact that modern technology is like a sharp khife.Its effects depend upon the way it is used.So modern man has to be careful and aware of it. It has to be kept in mind that technology is meant for the betterment of human, humans are not meant for the advancement of technology.
