Answer:

Stress-strain curve for aluminum alloy 6. Conclusions (1) The significance of autofrettage on life has been shown through consideration of a range of autofrettage levels from 5% to 90% and based on initial crack length of 0.01 mm. It has been shown that the life is increased by a factor of 3.03 at 5% autofrettage and 9.1 at 38.7% autofrettage to 5.35 at 90% autofrettage as compared with nonautofrettage cylinders. (2) We can conclude that by increasing the pressure of unloading (more than P y2 ) the pressure capacity is decreased and the bursting pressure is also decreased due to the increase of maximum stress of von-Misses after P y2 .
