Concurrent validation tests are conducted on the currently working employees and their test scores are considered to be an indicator of their performance at their position.

On the other hand Predictive valuation tests are conducted on applicants to test their potential performance after getting the job.

Predictive valuation is preferred over Concurrent valuation because young applicants would be more motivated to take the test.
