The heat transferred to the engine by the reser viors is 2500J.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Explaination:-

Gíven :-

  • Temperature of the source,  \sf T_1= 500K
  • Temperature of the sink, \sf T_1= 300K
  • Work done per cycle, W = 1J = 1000KJ

To fínd :-

The heat transferred to the engine by the reser viors .

Solutíon :-

Efficiency of Carnot engine

 \sf ( \eta) = 1 -  \frac{T_{2}}{T_{1}}  = 1 -  \frac{300}{500}  =  \frac{2}{5}  \\

 \sf \eta =  \frac{W}{ \varrho _{1}}  \\  \\  \sf\varrho _{1} =  \frac{W}{ \eta}  =  \frac{1000}{ \frac{2}{5} }  \\  \\  \sf\varrho _{1} = 1000 \times  \frac{5}{2}  = 500 \times 5 \\  \\   \boxed{\bf\varrho _{1} = 2500 \: J}

Thus, The heat transferred to the engine by the reser viors is 2500J.

value :-

  • Heat and energy are the basis of all human life. They should be used in blanced way.
