We can draw the perpendicular of side BC by open the compass more than half of the side BC . And take a arc on the left and right side of the side BC . And name the arcs M and N . And join the point m and n .

Answer:

Steps of construction :-

1. Draw a line segment BC measuring 3.6 cm.

2. With the radius 5 cm, and with the centre B, draw an arc .

3. With the centre C and the radius 5.4 cm, draw an arc to cut the previous arc. Name the intersection point A.

4. Join BA.

5. Join CA.

6. With radius more than half of BC, draw an arc with centre B on both sides of BC.

7. With the same radius and centre C, draw arcs on both sides of BC to cut the previous arcs.

8. Name two intersection points on BC as E.

9. Join DF white intersecting the point E and produce it on either sides. •°• DF is the required perpendicular bisector of BC at E.
