To make a 90 degree angle using a scale and compass follow these steps





1.
draw a line segment and take a point on it
2.
take a compass in which a pencil is fitted
3.
keep the sharp point of the compass on that point and extend the other arm from a distance
4.now keeping the nib on the point without any movement draw an Arc on the line segment
5.
proceed as shown in the above picture

I have drawn roughly but use the scale for the base and take compass and draw a semi circle on the line from either last point or at middle take the measurement on the compass of the circle point and the middle point from where you have drawn and from the circles point make an ark over the semi circle and again an ark form the previous ark now what u have to do is just take your compass on the ark and make an ark upper side from both so that they concide with each other draw the line from the ark obtained ur 90degree angle is ready.
