Construct ΔPQR, in which QR=4.2 cm, m∠Q=40° and PQ+PR=8.5 cm

We have to construct the ΔPQR in which QR = 4.2 cm

And

PQ + PR = 8.5 Cm

Angle Q = 40°

We know that

Perimeter of triangle = sum of all sides = PQ + PR + QR = 8.5 + 4.2 = 12.7 cm

So

We make a triangle with such measurements by first making

the line QR = 4.2 cm

And Angle Q = 40°

Then we make the PQ of length = 5.17 cm and PR of length = 3.33 cm

And

Note that

5.17 + 3.33 + 4.2 = 12.7

That is

PQ + PR = 8.5 cm

Which is the required condition
