1. FORCE : when applied on the rigid body can. cause motion only...

S. I unit of force is NEWTON(N).....

2. WORK : work is said to be done only when the force applied on the body makes the body to move.

S. I unit of work is JOULE(J)

3. DISPLACEMENT : displacement of a body is total distance covered by. the body

S.I unit of displacement is METER(m)

4. POWER : power is the rate of doing work ...

S. I unit of Power is Watt(W).....

5.ENERGY: is the capacity to do work..

S. I unit of energy is JOULE(j)..

6.TIME : is the total time taken by a body..

S. I unit of time is SECOND(s)...

7. CURRENT : it is the rate of flow of charge..

S. I unit of current is AMPERE(A)

8. CHARGE : it is of two kind negative and positive...

S.I unit of charge is COULUMB(C)..

9. RESISTANCE : the obstruction offered to the flow of current by the conductor

S. I unit of resistance is OHM ....

10. HEAT : heat is the internal energy of molecules constituting the body flowing from a hot body to a cold body when they are kept in contact..

SI unit of heat is JOULE(j)..

11. TEMPERATURE : temperature is a parameter which tells the thermal state of body.

the S.I unit of temp. is KELVIN(K)

12. SPEED = speed is the velocity of a body or the ratio of distance to time...

S. I unit of speed is meter / second(m/s)..

13. HEAT CAPACITY : it is an amount of energy required to raise the temperature by 1 Degree Celsius.

S.I unit of heat capacity is JOULE PER KELVIN( J/ K) ...

14. SPECIFIC HEAT CAPACITY : amount of heat energy required to raise the temperature of unit mass of the body by 1 Degree Celsius

S.I unit of this is JOULE PER KILOGRAM PER KELVIN ( J / kg K)

15. MASS : it is the weight of the body....

S. I unit of mass is kilogram ( kg) ....

nice question..... through this i revise all the quantities with units

Heya.......!!!

1.) SPEED »» speed is the rate of distance travelled . It is the ratio of distance travelled to the Time taken to cover that distance .

Speed = distance / time
SI UNIT =>> m/s

2.) ACCELERATION »» Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity .

acceleration =>> v-u/t
SI UNIT =>>>m/s^2

3.) FORCE »» it is a Push or pull which causes change or successfully changes state of motion of body of body .

force =>> ma
SI UNIT = >> Newton ( N )

4.) ELECTRIC FIELD »» it is a vector quantity , it's direction is the same as the force experienced by positive charge .

SI UNIT =>>> Newton/Coulomb

5.) MAGNETIC FLUX »» if we consider a plabe perpendicular to a uniform magnetic field , then the product of magnitude of field to area of plane is magnetic flux .

SI UNIT =>> Weber .

6.) WORK » » The amount of energy change to a system.

SI UNIT =>>> Joule ( J)

7.) PRESSURE »» it is the ratio of Thrust per unit Area . here Thrust is perpendicular force .

SI UNIT =>>> Pascal .

8.) VISCOSITY »» property of fluid by virtue of which an internal force of friction arises in fluid in motion .

SI UNIT =>>> poiseuille .

9. POWER =>> power is the rate of doing work.

SI UNIT =>> Watt .

10.) AMPLITUDE »» If a body is vibrating, then the maximum displament is amplitude .

SI UNIT =>>> meter ( m )

11.) FREQUENCY »» it is number of vibrations per sec.

SI UNIT =>>> Hertz

12.) WAVELENGTH »» Wavelength, distance between corresponding points of two consecutive waves .

SI UNIT =>>> meter ( m )

13.) HEAT CAPACITY »» amount of heat required to raise temprature by 1° .

SI UNIT =>> J/K

14.) WATER EQUIVALENT »» it is the amount of water requires the same amount of heat for same temprature rise .

SI UNIT =>> Joule / Kelvin

15.) CHARGE » » Electric charge is the physical property of matter that causes it to experience a force when placed in an electromagnetic field .

SI UNIT =>>> Coulomb .

HOPE IT HELPS U ^_^

rohit710: okay ,, say ur point
rohit710: after all the user who have asked the question is in 7th class ,,, so i am giving a general information according to his class and level
Anonymous: Ok sorry , I dont know about this thing?
rohit710: THERE COULD BE MANY CASES IN ACCELERATION :::::: if you want to calculate acceleration based on force the formulae can be

a=F/m
rohit710: a = f/m
rohit710:  initial and final velocity are given the formulae can be expressed as. = a = v-u/t
rohit710: Ur point was right BUT my point wasn't wrong
rohit710: Nice to have a discussion with you # Bentennyson17
rohit710: Have a nice day :-)
