If propane is treated with Cl2 in the sunlight then 1 - chloropropane will be obtained.
This happens with it is treated by KOH, because water, in this case, will produce the alcohol when it is treated with concentrated sulphuric acid will produce propane.
By the addition of antimarkonikof with the help of using HBr we will be able to get 2-bromopropane, which on treatment with KOH, water will give 2 - propanol.
Propene, otherwise called propylene or methyl ethylene, is an unsaturated natural compound having the concoction formula C₃H₆. It has one double bond and is the second least difficult individual from the alkene class of hydrocarbons.
