if we convert 18 g of O2 in moles
molecular mass of oxygen gas=16×2=
32g

so,by using relationship
n=m/M
n=18/32
=1/2
=0.5

moles hope it will help you dear ☺

Given: 18 grams of oxygen gas.

To find: We have to find the number of moles.

Solution:

The number of moles of oxygen gas can be determined as follows-

The chemical formula of oxygen gas is O_2.

The atomic weight of oxygen is 16 so, the molecular weight of oxygen gas is 16×2=32 grams.

Now we can write-

32 grams of oxygen gas occupy 1 mole.

So, 18 grams of oxygen gas will occupy 18/32=0.5625 moles.

18 grams of oxygen gas has 0.5625 moles.
