cos(45-x)= p
2cos²(@)-1= cos(2@)
put @ as 45-x
2p²-1=cos(90-2x) =sin(2x) {cos(90-@)=sin(@)}
2p²=1+sin(2x)
p = √((1+sin(2x))/2)= cos(45-x)

or

cos(45-x)=cos(90-(45+x))
using the same property used above,
cos(90-(45+x))=sin(45+x)
