solution:-
we know that:

cos C - cos D = 2 sin ( C + D)/2 sin ( D - C) / 2 

So, here,

cos 4θ - cos 4α = 2 sin ( 4θ + 4α)/2 * sin (4α - 4θ)/2

=
2 sin { 2(2θ + 2α)/2} * sin {2(2α - 2θ)/2}

= 2 * sin (2θ + 2α) * sin ( 2α - 2θ) Answer
