So, cost of table = x+21

Accordingly,

x+x+21 = 371

or, 2x + 21 = 371

or, 2x = 371-21

or, 2x = 350

or, x = 350/2

or, x = 175

Therefore, the cost of chair = 175

the cost of table = 175+21

= 196
