___________________________

As CP is Rs 3000 and gain%= 20

Gain= 20/100× 3000= Rs 600

So his SP becomes= Rs 3000+Rs 600
= Rs 3600

He marked it at Rs 4000,
So his discount= Rs 4000-Rs 3600
= Rs 400

Duscount%= (D/CP ×100)%
= (400/4000×100)%
= 10%

hope \: it \: helps
