we cannot criss multiply 1/3 and 2/4 as they are not equal
we multiply only those fractions which are equal

for instance , 1/2 and 2/4 can be cross multiplied

=> 1/2 = 2/4

=> 4×1 = 2×2
=> 4 = 4


but , something like 1/3 and 2/4 cannot be cross multiplied as it gives illogical answer


=> 1×4 ≠ 3×2

=> 4≠6
