The lighter orange area and the green in color part are called as the central tissue of the plant.

It has the capability to transport sugar and other required nutrients which helps the plant to grow further.

After cutting the broad end of the carrot, the young green branches growing from it observe stored food and nutrients in it.

The fact behind is :
1. The cutted part still have the capacity to transfer the minerals in you can say water.
2. Hence if it get conducted then their is chance if it's utilisation also, which results for the green branches around it.
