Rashmi: (assertively) I have decided I want to become a professional photographer! I will take photography as my optional subject in +1.
Mr A Saxena: (angrily) Are you off your rocker? Who studies photography? Is this foolishness your career choice? How will you do well in life? The family has such high expectations on you! And you want to be a petty photographer?
Mrs Rakhi Saxena: (sounding worried) Dear Rashmi, I have no knowledge whether photography will be the right choice for you or not; I have no idea whether you will be able to earn well or not! But I do want you to enjoy your life! I wish you to have a career that you sincerely believe in. I don't want you to have any stress, financial constraints. So dear daughter do make the career choice wisely, considering all aspects.
Mrs Rita Saxena:(quite confidently) There is nothing wrong in Rashmi's choice of her career as a photographer. Rather she has very wisely made the choice. This career is quite respectable and in demand. Photographers earn quite much money these days. High quality pictures clicked by photographers are in great demand. She can easily be hired by newspapers, magazines, TV channels. Besides she can open her own studio and earn a lot of money respectably and artistically. Father, please let her do what she chooses. Kindly get out of that orthodox career mentality.
Mr. A Saxena: (relieved a little) Are you sure she will not have to repent later? I had always thought she would become an engineer, or a manager in an MNC, or a CA! No one ever from our family thought of photography as a career! It could be taken as a hobby! But not as a career! If, however, you are supporting her, I will have to think over it!
Rashmi:(happily) Thanks father. Thank you so much dear sister. I assure you all I will make you all feel proud!
