i - By this experiment, we proved that oxygen is produced during photosynthesis in the presence of sunlight.

ii - A group or combination of instruments, machinery, tools, materials, etc., having a particular function or intended for a specific use: Our town has excellent fire-fighting apparatus. any complex instrument or mechanism for a particular purpose.

iii - Potassium hydroxide is used in the experiment for the absorption of CO2 from the plant released during respiration. When KOH absorbs CO2, it creates a vacuum in the flask. The air present in the bent glass tube moves into the conical flask. This pulls the water in the bent tube further up.

iv - Moll's half-leaf experiment was done to show that plants cannot photosynthesize unless carbon dioxide is available. Plants use sunlight and carbon dioxide present in air to produce food for itself, in the absence of either photosynthesis is affected adversely.
