Find the zeros of the following quadratic Poly
and verify the relationship between the zeros
and the coefficients
a) 4x²- 4x + 1​

Factorise : 4x² - 4x  + 1

→ 4x² - 2x - 2x + 1

→ 2x(2x - 1) - 1(2x - 1)

→ (2x - 1)(2x - 1)

FIND ZEROES :

→ 2x - 1 = 0

→ 2x = 1

x = 1/2

Here,  α and β both are ' 1/2 '

Now,

VERIFICATION :

sum of zeroes = - ( coefficient of x )/coefficient of x²

⇒ (1/2 + 1/2) = -(-4)/4

⇒ 1 = 1  

∴ L.H.S = R.H.S

→ Product of zeroes = Constant Term / (coefficient of x²)

⇒  (1/2) × (1/2) = 1/4

⇒ 1/4 = 1/4

∴ L.H.S = R.H.S

Hence proved!
