two isolated conductors of certain capacitance have different charge and potential, but when these two isolated conductors are attached with the help of a wire than it will lead to formation of a system in which new potential will be present now because series combination. charges will also get redistributed till the time when potential will become same/common throughout the system. And talking about capacitance it always remain same for a conductor and only depends on dielectric constant that is conductors will have same capacitance wether they are connected with wire or not. the combination will be series not parallel
