Answer:

26

Step-by-step explanation:

n=16

d=2

S16=544

a=?

n/2[2a+(n-1)d]=Sn

16/2[2a+15*2]=544

2a+30=68

2a=38

a=19

now,

2nd term is a+d

                  = 19+2

                  =21

2nd last term is,

        a+14d

        =19+28

        =47

difference  between 2nd term and second last term is

                                             =  47-21=26

there is some mistake in question there will come "odd" in place of "even" because a is an odd integer

QUESTION⇩⇩

The sum of sixteen consecutive even integers is 544. Then the difference between second one and second last one is?

ANSWER⇩⇩

26

GIVEN THAT⇢

n=16

d=2

S16=544

TO FIND⇢

a=?

FORMULA USED⇢

 \frac{n}{2} [2a+(n-1)d]=Sn

LET'S DO IT⇢

\frac{16}{2} [2a+15 \times 2]=544

2a+30=68

2a=38

{ \boxed{ \underline{ \pink{a=19}}}}

now,

2nd term is, a+d

= 19+2

=21

2nd last term is,

a+14d

=19+28

=47

difference between 2nd term and second last term is

 =  47-21=26

{\boxed{\underline{\purple{26}}}}
