Death rate refers to the number of deaths per thousand (1000) person in a year.

If the death rate in a country increases it accounts for natural increase in the population of that county. it affects the population growth as well as the population composition.

Thanks!

" The death rate is a measure of number of deaths per 1000 of a population in a year.

Crude death rate refers to a generalized measure without any specific purpose.

The death rate is also scaled specifically and differently according to the purpose and type of population like maternal mortality rate, infant mortality rate, child mortality rate, case fatality rate, cumulative death rate, age- related and sex- related death rates etc. The death rate in India in the year 2017 was 7.3 deaths/1000 people.

Factors like  ailments and health conditions, socioeconomic conditions, and an ageing population can influence the death rate.
