Answer:

Religion and politics should not be mixed

Good morning everyone present here; I am here to express my views on ‘religion and politics should not be mixed’. I am going to speak in favor of it.

Religion is the way to know and worship God; politics can be defined as the activities related to the governance of a country, especially the debate between parties having power. In some countries politicians are so low and mean that they don’t hesitate stooping to the lowest level. They misuse the divine religion to gain sympathy of the people belonging to their religion and cause communal tension in the society. It should not happen.

Religion leads every individual towards God. There are many religions in the world and each religion is unique. They are different in form; but their essence is the same – God realization and self-enlightenment.

Politics is of the world; religion belongs to the spiritual realm. It should not be mixed with politics. Whatever religion a politician may belong to, he or she should practice religious doctrine to serve people. He or she should not use religion to create undue communal tension among people to take political advantage.

So, I conclude my debate reasserting that religion and politics should not be mixed for petty interests.

Answer:

According to the religious perspective, religion and politics are two things that should not be mixed. For instance, political leaders will use the opportunity to turn the houses of worship into political rallies instead of religious teachings. However in another perspective, the political leaders need to be educated about religious matters therefore if religion and politics are not brought together, it may be difficult for the political leaders to know what is right for them in the eyes of God and what is not.
