Hey there!

Any group of letters added to a word, and give a different meaning and has complet sense is called Suffix or prefix.

✦ The group of letters, Suffix or prefix may or may not have a individual meaning

Suffix :- Any group of letters added after the word and give a different meaning and has complet sense is called Suffix

Prefix :- Any group of letters added before the word, and give a different meaning and has complet sense is called Prefix

Examples :-

Here suffix = able, ion respectively

prefix means in front of a word example: in, un, non
   like undefined, incomplete,non renewable etc.
suffix comes at the end of the word example: ly, ing, ies
   like friendly, eating, enemies
