Tide is a combination of downs and ups of sea water.  When it comes to tidal energy, it is a non-conventional and limitless source of energy.

Tidal energy is used to produce electrical power. There are many dams are developed near estuaries to utilize the outward and inward water surges and currents.

Also, the sea water is used for powering the turbines for generating electricity.
