*The maximum disturbance of particles in the medium on either side of line of zero disturbance is known as Amplitude. It determines the loudness of sound.

*The no. of complete waves in one second is called the frequency of wave. It's S.I unit is Hertz (Hz). It determines the pitch of the wave.

Frequency= The no of oscillations per second is called as frequency.
