Average Power
The average power can be calculated after dividing the total work done by the total time taken.
Average Power = Total work done /Total time taken
Power in Terms of Force and Velocity
We know that,
Power = Work /Time
P=W/t
But, Work done = F × s
Substituting the value, we get
P = Fs/t
P = F(s/t)
Since, velocity = s/t, we get
P = Fv
Thus, we can conclude that power can be measured as the product of force and velocity.
